Taxi Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) Inspections

Periodic Vehicle Roadworthies are mandatory for Taxi vehicles... In our now litigious society, it is essential for Taxis to be properly checked and inspected for roadworthiness. As this is a check of the car to make sure it is safe to be on the road. With the kilometres driven and time, vehicles will deteriorate and can potentially be dangerous to the driver of the vehicle, its passengers, and other road users.

Taxi Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) Inspection

As of the 1st of July 2020, VicRoads have increased their standard of inspections. Under these new regulations we are fully compliant in ensuring all checks are carried out as per the new guidelines.

We are an accredited VicRoads licenced vehicle tester for Taxis. Our highly trained and experienced staff will turn your vehicle around quickly and efficiently and as per VicRoads inspection requirements check:

  • Windscreen and windows (including washers and wipers)

  • The structure of the vehicle body & chassis

  • Seats and seatbelts

  • Engine and Driveline

  • Exhaust and emissions

  • Braking system, steering, and suspensions

  • Wheels and tyres

  • Lights, signals, and reflectors

  • Photograph all aspects of the vehicle during pre-assessment (as per guidelines)

  • Photograph all aspects of the vehicle once issues found have been rectified (as per guidelines)

For more detail of the included checks visit the VicRoads website: VicRoads Certificate of Roadworthiness.

Note: a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) inspection is not a comprehensive inspection of the condition of the vehicle and mechanical reliability. To ensure you have no unexpected downtime, we can do a more thorough inspection for you, just advise our team of this requirement when making your booking.

Easy and efficient turnaround for you

Vehicle inspections are completed on site and you are free to grab a coffee in our customer lounge or go to the shops nearby. We will let you know how long it will take and when it'll be ready to go.

After the Roadworthy Certificate Inspection

After we’ve completed your vehicle inspection, we’ll explain the results so that you can understand if anything needs fixing, or might in the near future, according to VicRoads regulations.

You will get a Roadworthy Certificate when your car passes the inspection.

NOTE: We will never go ahead and fix anything without discussing it with you and getting your approval first.
